Okay so this is kinda weird but for some reason I cannot see some pics on my laptop (Dell) but I can see them on my iphone... So my question is... Are these pics being posted wrong, in the wrong format, or is my computer just a piece of junk, or what??? I've noticed some other people mention that pics weren't visible to them too. However there are some pics that I can see on my computer so I don't think that it's me but idk.

Any input would be great!!!

Can you provide a little more detail? Are these hot linked pictures, uploaded pictures? Are you seeing a blank box that represents a picture?

I have the same issue actually. I can see all of Vins pics regardless of how they are posted, I cannot see ANY of Shooters pics (say in the gun thread).. I can't see them at Glock Forum either, but I can see others. Makes no sense to me. It's gotta be who the pictures are hosted with being blocked by our browsers maybe??

That or how they are being parsed. Maybe they are stored as a format we are not allowing on the host.

It shouldn't let anyone actually "upload" an attachment if it isn't a valid file type. So that's my best guess is the host is not allowing the linking somehow. :dunno2:

But then again, I am not an IT guy. Looks like we are set up correctly when I check VB options.

Thats what I'm thinking because it does it on other forums too, even forums I found while googling and stuff. I'm thinking it has to do with this work computer, and maybe the OP PC as well? Who knows.. All I know is it's a bummer!! I wanna see some cool stuff and can't.

I can honestly see both of those pics from my computer. However now that J-Will mentioned it, I think that I have always been able to see Vin's images. I am wondering if maybe some folks are running mac and some are on pc and that is causing a disturbance but idk if that even makes a difference as long as the image is saved in the right format.


But the images that were not showing up had a little square box in the top left corner that had a question mark in it.

Are you using Firefox? I have that issue at times with Firefox.

No, I am actually using safari. It's my favorite one to use. All of the others run slower so I never use them.

What do you see instead of pics?

Can you give me an example of a pic you can see, and one you cannot? What browser do you use to access the community?

Also, I am on a MAC. I upload them using Firefox, and I only use jpg.

I'm using Explorer, for example I can see every one of Vins pics he has posted, now Shooter13 on the other hand I can't see ANY of his pics whether here or on glock forum. No little X, no question mark, nothing. Just what he types out.

So I didn't ever figure out why I couldn't see them. But I was on my brother's computer at the time that I couldn't see them but now that I am on my own computer I am able to see all pics that I am aware of. I am not getting any question marks in a box now. Hopefully someone can figure out why some pics are not available to some people. But for now I am good on seeing the images!!

I changed some settings. Give a couple of hours for the CDN to catch up.
