End to end is about 16". Although it came out really good, I'm not a big fan of the 1-1/2"......(It's got "bad" written all over it). At least the 1" steel balls can be used for a keychain.
Didn't you make it for that purpose to look "bad"?
Since it has a wrist lanyard I thought it was created for defensive situations.

The place I get my steel balls from the biggest size they carry is the 1 inch. But as soon as I can find a bigger size from a reliable supplier I'm ordering something bigger than a 1 inch.

The ones I make are usually 1" diameter. I only make larger if someone specifically asks me to.

I get my 1-1/2" steel balls from:

I got my 1-1/2" steel balls from Paracordist.com

I also bought the snips that he sells for cutting Paracord, and they are fantastic. They make a nice clean cut.
