When I make dog collars for me it's not the weave or knot that's the problem .. For bigger dogs it's the buckle or how you join the two ends together to come on and off. Small dogs it's not a problem but for larger dogs you need a stout buckle

the dog i have is a pomerainian.so she's a small dog.the buckle im useing, came off of the old store bought coller.so im good to go with that..so if i come across a knot that at least looks good enough, and works.i'll be happy..

I have an 80 lb. English Bulldog, I made a collar using a king cobra weave, with a plastic buckle, and she broke both of the ones I made. I've switched to a metal buckle, and it's held up well.
