Anyone know of a good buckle to do a reverse able bracelet, would a flat one be the best
A shackle would be the best option because you can use it either way.
I've never used one
Either a shackle or a whistle buckle
I've seen 3/8" Flat Buckles
The 3/4" Fire-Starter Whistle buckle is flat
I think many whistle buckles tend to be flat, but I have seen some contoured
Adjustable U/D/Bow Shackles, the adjustable bar is not entirely flat (slight contour to them)
Other options could be to use a velcro strap style buckle setup
Some bigger buckles are flat and most state that.
5/8" and 3/4" whistle buckles are usually flat, 1/2" are usually contoured.
We have 3/8" flat, 1/2" flat and 5/8" flat whistle buckles. We also have shackles in 4mm and 5mm sizes but they have a curved adjuster so they really aren't reversible.
Idk other then them I listed and deek550 listed
If the bracelet is for a child or someone with a really small wrist, I would use the 3/8" flat buckle. If it's for an adult, go with the 1/2" flat buckle. If it's huge, get the 5/8" whistle buckle.
Hope this helps.
Also depends on the pattern you're using. A fishtail bracelet with a 2-strand core would look pretty silly with a 5/8" flat buckle on it.
