F.S. in the color name of paracord

I was looking at the color selections on ParacordPlanet website and wondered why they would preface some of the color names with "F.S" such as "F.S. Navy Blue". So, I emailed them and asked. They kindly replied that "F.S." stood for "Federal Standard". I don't think that it really means anything, and can be safely ignored. But if you have been loosing sleep at night over this, now you know. File this under trivia information.

lol I figured it meant full strength. Thanks!
I am pretty sure it is just in reference to the color, and not anything actually meaningful. There are other shades of Navy Paracord though. Atwood Navy is a much darker color, I call it Dark Navy, because I am not very creative : )
I was thinking full of well you know the last word for the "S". LOL! I'm joking.
lol, I like that answer better MrParacord!
F.S. stands for Federal Standard. It means it meets a specification the govt. has set for that color for govt use.
