You know, I was thinking not only does that looks pretty cool, but that's a great survival tool as well. You could use the nut with a stopper knot, for instance, to secure a hammock or even rappel with. Pretty cool idea.
I have no idea. Maybe tonight I'll put it on a scale and check the ounces. I'm wearing it now, and it doesn't feel noticeably weighty.
Good points.....However, I'm not sure how the threads on the inside would affect the cord....The thread from the nut will most likely cause friction on the cord if you were to try to rappel with it.....especially if you have 2 cords running through it. I'm sure there are more uses for the nuts that haven't been thought of. Until then, they'll just have to look cool on a bracelet!
Just wanted to share a suggestion one of my friends had for a practical use for the hex nuts. He suggested they can be used as fishing sinkers! If anyone can think of other uses, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!
