Hey Everyone, So I just posted the details of my BOB on PreparedSociety.com here: http://www.preparedsociety.com/bug-out-bag/the-haus-22.html Pretty cool site if you didn't know about it. Anyone who goes camping, or spends any time away from the comfort of home, should have one put together. I take mine even on small trips, just in case.
I keep a few bags in my jeep JIC i have to travel on short notice for work. I run a regional disaster response team on top of doing surveillances that sometimes do not have much advance notice. I like to keep my gear modular, clothes, medical, work related gear, etc. I use smaller bags and have one that I can combine them into if needed. Kinda like using colored stuffsacks in larger backpacks. My clothes bag is one that is a backpack that can unzip and hang where it's all compartmentalized. Makes it easy in field applications. I'm pretty partial to Maxpedition in general. I've some 5.11 and Condor bags, but Max I find has bags more tailored to spec applications. My normal runabout bags are either their Sitka or Kodiac.
I carry an EDC bag and I have a mini BOB that ready to go whenever I need it. I need to build a bigger BOB someday.
i have a BOB i carnt stop adding to it i have 4 boxs and 3 bag lol im crazy i no iv got my hunting, fishing and survival box then iv got a box with all sorts of stuff in from clothes and toiletys to playing cards iv got one for tools and one for food. then iv got my main bag with a random selection of stuff in iv got my hydraton bag and 2 more smaller bags with more random stuff in. and then iv got my holiday suitcase all packed and ready for a holiday lol soon i will have to start packing a bag for a new born baby carnt wait for that bag Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
Welcome to the forum! Sounds like your very prepared. Do you have a pack mule to carry all that stuff? Lol.
Bug out bags, the never ending evolution! I have 5 bags that are stocked up with all the essentials. I also have smaller packs and waist packs or butt packs. The reason I said " The never ending evolution " is because they keep changing and evolving. I constantly add things or replace or even eliminate things. Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
So true. That's why when it comes to a BOB there isn't a magic formula for making one or a perfect BOB simply because each BOB is tailored to the individual and their environment.
if i was to make my bob to what im good at it would have to be hunting more than anything elce but sadly in england we carnt carry around guns like you can in america or knifes for that matter we can only carry up to a 3inch foldind knife and it carnt lock its sad realy we would like to have the same protection as you guys in america Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
we can for hunting and fishing only never any other times as far as im aware Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
yes just about lol even then if you are carrying one on you you would get asked a lot of question because you are carrying a knife in the first place. it is ilegal to have flip knifes or butterfly knifes Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
forgot to also say that if someone breaks into your house and hurts themselfs in anyway they can sue you. its just one of the most stupid laws in england lol Sent from my iPhone using Paracord Forum
Not really a 'bug out bag' but i've been getting into Miniature Survival kits, the kind that take up little space and you can throw into a backpack. http://www.survivaldump.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-miniature-survival-kits/
